Resize Images the Easy Way |
|

|
This is one of the easiest ways to resize large groups of photos at once and also one of the few free programs I have found that works with both Windows XP and Windows Vista!
1. Download the picture resize file here to your Windows Desktop for easiest access

2. You can resize one photo or an entire folder at once! In the example below we will resize an entire folder. Simply drag the folder that contains the photos you want to resize and drop it onto the PhotoResize icon on your desktop.

3. A window will appear and you will press Enter to close it. Now your files are resized.

4. Now when you open the folder you will have a new copy reduced in size. Your original photo is not altered!

What if you want the resized photos to be larger or smaller?
This is really easy! You can resize the file on your desktop and change the number to make the photos a certain size. For example in the icon shown below there is a 600 in the name. This will give you a photo 600 pixels wide. If this is too large you could right click on this icon and select rename and change to another number such as PhotoResize400!
